Clancy Lawyer Pivots to Claim Insufficient Evidence She Killed Her Children

Sep 30, 2026

The View segment focused on Lindsay Clancy's attorney Kevin Reddington's surprise shift in court on Sept. 29, 2026, after her murder trial ended in a mistrial. Previously, the defense stipulated that Clancy strangled her three children (Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; Callan, 8 months) in January 2023 while suffering from postpartum psychosis, seeking a not-guilty-by-reason-of-insanity verdict. Reddington now argues prosecutors presented no direct evidence she committed the killings, called the probe "ridiculous," and said the case rests on speculation; the judge took the motion for a required finding of not guilty under advisement, with further hearings set for Nov. 2. The co-hosts, led by Alyssa Farah Griffin, reacted with disbelief at the apparent change in strategy. Sourcing was primarily the recent court hearing and prior trial coverage; no outside experts or prosecutors appeared.
